Very poor service, dropped a reasonably expensive watch to have a replacement battery fitted. When I went to collect the strap has been pulled round so far that the pin holding the stap to watch was bent out of place and the leather strap had been torn splitting the strap - leaving it held together with threads. The manager said nothing when I collected and when challenged i was told I was a lier and to go away. Very rude and aggressive and ive had to foot the £35 bill for a new strap from the manufacturer. DONT USE

Very poor service went to take some boots to be reheeled got told it would be 2hours went back after 2hours to be told it would be 1/2 hour so went away again went back told it would be 10 mins went back goy told it would be 5 more mins i spoke to my mum who i was with i said to her i think we will be all day i got some young kid who worked there said to me WE ARE BUSY WE HAVE SAID SORRY STOP MOANING he was very rude and aggressive i wont be going there again what happen to customer services!!!!!

Very Very rude nad aggressive. I was charged £15 just for a battery and a link to be taken out of my watch. When I questioned the ammount I was told to shop elsewhere next time. He then said thanks for the service inwhich I made a comment about his attitude. As I walked away I heard him calling me to the customer behind me. Never ever shop there! I have reported them to consmer services who said the price shoul have been agreed and that I shouldnt have paid that amount. Most of all I am upset by how I was spoken to.

I am writing this to show that this site allows anyone to type in positive or negative reviews without any policing.There are no contact details so as a retailer a competitor could write no end of reviews slating your business and I could also write positive review after review which I assure you I havent.Please treat this site with the contempt it deserves there are no contact details so I cannot get in touch with anyone from the site.Comments about the age of my staff annoy me .My staff are trained by experienced staff and we pride ourselves on the services we offer.Come to our shop and you will find that staff tell you how much a job will be and will give their best estimate on how long a job will take.We have thousands of customers each week and I am sure 99.9% are very happy with the service we provide.If anyone does have any complaints store mangers will pass on my contact so that I can sort it out

Very poor service, I asked one of the staff to add 3 more holes on my very expensive natural leather hand bag. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the mess he had done on my lovely bag which was a gift from a dearest person in my life. He did not accept the mess and did not even say sorry. I went back the next day to see the manager who was worse than his staff! He said: "I know you want me to replace your straps but I am not going to do this and I will come to the court for it!" He was ever so rude with a very poor customer service and not even apologetic.

the holes were placed on the bag where you asked them to be done and you were not charged for this job.There was not an apology offered because there was not anything to apologise for.The job was done you were not charged as it was a very small job.

When asked how much it would cost to replace a battery I was told it needed to be looked at and to come back in 10 minutes. On my return I was told to pay £12 for the replaced battery. The jewellery shop oppisite would only charge £8.

Just found out today when trying to turn the watch back to GMT that the little pin does not come out anymore. I am going back to them to see how their customer service is to rectify this problem.

In reply to Ningyun,If you would like to return to our shop we will of course have a look at you watch.As for the price, we levy our charges on the difficulty of the job,the cause of the problem and the time the job will take.You will find that different shops charge different prices we would like to think we are competitive.I feel your comment on this issue is unjustified just as Tesco is cheaper than Marks and Spencers all retailers vary.

Ignore these bad reviews I have been going to this shop for years to have my shoes done they offer a very good service and as for prices you get what you pay for which in this case is a top notch job they even repaired a pair of shoes that no one else would touch1

I had my watch battery replaced and my shoes fixed I knew how much it was going to be and they explained that they can give a time and would try their best to meet it I am more than happy with the service I get here.

I have been to this shop loads of times and never had a problem.I have had shoes repaired,keys cut,engraving done as I wanted gifts for my wedding party {the shop also supplied these}and I have always found the service good

I am a student and have used my discount card here twice it makes a difference and is a good thing to offer.I had my bag glued and they didnt charge me which was a bonus because I had a key cut and brought a keyring.I think it offers a good service

while browsing this site I was very suprised to see some of these reviews as I have used this shop loads of times having evrything done from shoes repaired to my watch fixed and never had a problem.

I found the young chap very helpful but was very suprised to hear the customer before me speak to him very rudely I think staff in shops have to put up with a lot of rude customers.I have always found the staff in this shop very helpful and polite

I agree they have always done a really good job on my manky shoes and they clean them too which not everywhere does but maybe its because Im a regular and Im a regular because they always do a fine job.

Whenyou are in retail you are going to get complaints its part of retail life it doesnt mean you do a bad service we are only human.I am in retail and I try my hardest but still get the odd complaint .I know this shop and have never had any issues or problems and I dont think they deserve to be laid into on this pooorly run webiste

The manner with which the staff at Carillon Court Shoe Repairs addressed me - and my mum who collected my shoes on my behalf - was utterly rude and intimidating. I think the attitude expressed by the Carillon Court representatives who have responded to previous complaints on this forum speaks for itself.
My visit to Loughborough was only fleeting so I was rushed to find somewhere to get my shoes repaired. I bitterly regret that Carillon Court was the first place I came across and in hindsight, I would urge anyone who reads this to go to Timpson’s on Church Gate where the staff are friendly, reasonable and up-front. It became apparent to me after I had foolishly paid the outlandish price of £10 (per pair of shoes) to replace the tips on the heels that they create their prices on the spot based on their assessment of the customer (I stupidly mentioned that I was visiting from London). The prices quoted since by other shoe repair companies have been a fraction of this price. Had the customer service been of a good standard, maybe it would have made up slightly for the extortionate prices, but customer service sadly seems to be of no importance here. Not only were the staff intimidatingly rude on separate occasions, but the way they actually handled my shoes left a lot to be desired, literally dumping them down on top of an existing pile of similarly dumped shoes. Before handing my shoes over, I took a photograph so my mum would be able to identify them on collection. The man behind the counter snapped at me that I didn’t need to take a photograph because they have a ticket system. HA! When my mum tried to collect my shoes, they would only give her two of the three pairs because THEY had lost the ticket they’d attached to one of the pairs. Why has initimidated done so many reviews?I think it is a competitor.I also think they will find this shops prices in line with other shops including timsons.I also think that this shop has offered a good service to me and my family for years.

Dec 18th. VERY POOR SERVICE. asked for 1 link taken out of watch strap........£10. When told I think too expensive I was told to go away and never come back....... GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. went to FLETCHERS around corner paid £4 ( 60% ) cheaper and a prompt and happy service. STAY AWAY FROM CARRILLION SHOE REPAIRS...... NOT A NICE EXPERIENCE AND VERY OVERPRICED!

I went in on Christmas eve they did my shoes quickly and told me how much they would be I was very happy with the job and left a happy customer along with the other customers served while I was there

I was browsing this site and felt I had to stand up for this shop they do my shoes keys and other bits and bobs I always know how much it will be I never have had a complaint they always bag my shoes not charging for the bag and are always smiley and polite

In response to Karl’s mis-judged comment dated 03/12/11, I am most certainly not a competitor, just a very dissatisfied customer who was on the receiving end of some utterly APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE. They were disgustingly rude to me, and two of the three pairs of shoes I had re-heeled were damaged upon collection.

i have just moved to Loughborough and took my shoes to this shop they were returned to me repaired and polished.I knew how much the repair was I got a discount card for future business no one was rude infact the opposite.I will make this my regular shop .I had been to timsons and I was quoted the same price.

feel i have to echo josey I knew how much watch repair was had it done yes you can shop around for cheaper but you can do this in all walks of life it doesnt make the shop bad .I was happy with the service and think readers should take intimidated with a large pinch of salt.I dont think for one minute prices are based upon where you live Londoners have no more money than the rest of us and Im sure the staff have better things to do than make up prices i think you will find there is a price list on display.

Earlier this year I took a dkny watch for a new battery was charged around £20.00 for it after a week my watch stopped. Manager was off hand and impatient fortunately my husband was with me and wouldn't let the matter go so he replaced the battery. Also had an encounter over shoes this guy should be on rogue traders, he has appalling customer service and when confronted just brushes you aside and tells you to go somewhere else if you don't like it. How he manages to keep his business going is a mystery as it seems I am not the only person to find him unhelpful and obnoxious. I will not shop there again and intend on telling anyone I know not to either.

Having seen all the above comments i am not surprised in the slightest by reading such bad reviews!
I visited the shop today to enquire about a repair on some boots, the young assistant was very helpful and said he could do the repair whilst i waited. Whilst he was doing this, a very unfriendly man came from the back shouting to the young assistant that he did not have time for this repair and she (as in me) can wait! I asked for the boot back and then he almost threw the boot back at me and said i don't have time for things like this! When i suggested that he did not need to be so rude, he said yeah whatever, bye......
I have never come across someone so rude with such appalling manners.
I cannot believe how this man is still trading!!!!
