Set in the lovely rural Wreake Valley, this all-year garden houses an extensive collection of interesting and unusual hardy plants. A long pergola leads the visitor into the garden and forms a backdrop to the double herbaceous borders. Mixed beds beyond are filled with a wide range of herbaceous plants, shrubs and shrub roses in subtle colour coordinated groups. A stream dissects the garden and ends in a large wild life pond alive with a myriad of dragonflies. Aromatic herbs surround a much favoured seat which looks out across one of the garden ponds towards flower beds shaded by old fruit trees, where hellebores, ferns and many other shade loving plants abound.
