Minnie's friends was set up in memory of Donna Phillips, who sadly lost her life in 2005 at the young age of 32 years old, due to alcohol abuse. Donna left behind three beautiful children, she was full of life and was a very loving person to be around. Sadly there was no help avaliable then and still isn't now, we intend to change this but sadly it's to late for Donna. Donna left behind a very loving family, she was known as "minnie" so as a tribute to Donna we are calling the group "Minnies Friends"

This campaign is to get more help for drug addiction and alcoholics in Loughborough. The more people who sign up to this group, the more pressure we will be able to put on the local goverment. Or if you have got a story to tell please feel free to do so. Remember drug addiction and alcoholism is an illness. So please help us, to help them, they truly need help now!

Donna wanted the help, but there was none there so her loving family are going to try and change this. Please support us, thankyou for taking your time to read this, Donnas Family x

`Minnies friends` can be found on Face Book so please come and join us.:)

Are they still up and running? And does the libarary has an archive of them? i'd like to track down some old articales that featured some old student pals, college work and other bits that, with highingsight, i wish i'd have cut out and kept. Thanks

I transplanted some last fall and even after giving some away I still have around 20 plants.....Really don't need that much!! Asparagus is very poor and I'm not sure why.....Anybody else got anything coming up?

Came across my old Rolls razor this week (hone and sharpen in the case) - gave an excellent shave, nearest thing to a barbers' razor, but these razors need re-setting after a while and I don't think there is anyone around who can do it these days. Would love to hear if anyone has information to the contrary.
