Counties' officers use state of the art technology to prevent crime

The police in Leicestershire are using the latest state of the art technology to tackle thieves and people involved in handling stolen goods.
Officers across the Counties Basic Command Unit are using two new pieces of equipment called Apollo and Hermes which link directly to Immoblise UK; the free national property register. The technology was developed by the military. Nationally, the police are encouraging everyone to register on the Immobilise website and record all their identifiable items. This will help the police to return property to its rightful owner should it be lost or stolen anywhere in the country.

Loughborough is the second largest town after Leicester in the county of Leicestershire. It is located within the Borough of Charnwood whose administrative centre is in Loughborough.
