Canal Festival
Posted on 06/05/07
P. Klein
The Loughborough Canal and Boat Festival was held on the weekend of the 5th and 6th May 2007.
Dispite an abysmal weather forcast during the week the weather held and for the most part was sunny.
Congratulations must go to the Loughborough Echo and the organisers of the event that made the weekend one to remember. It was good to see so many smiling people enjoying themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.
We have put a selection of photographs from the weekend on www.LoughboroughCanalFestival.com and there are a further 430 pictures in our members photogallery . If you register an account you can send copies of the pictures to friends, submit your own photographs, or just talk about the days events in the forums. And best of all is that its all FREE.
Pictured above is County Councillor Mike Jones who had his face painted for charity. (He could have chosen to be a tiger but ....... ).
