dalekThe Daleks are multiplying at Charnwood Museum. Due to public demand the museum has had to put on extra sessions of its Dalek making workshops.

Charnwood Museums popular summer holiday activity programme begins with an invasion of Daleks for the Dr Who & the Daleks workshop on Tuesday 17 July. The workshop offers youngsters an opportunity to make their own Dalek to terrify their family.

However, as soon as tickets went on sale, they sold out. So last week the museum invited the Daleks to come back for an extra day of workshops on Monday 20th August. This too sold out immediately.

So now the Daleks are coming back for a third time on Friday 24 August. All potential Dalek makers are invited to book fast, as places are expected to sell out like hot Daleks. Latecomers will be exterminated!

The workshops form part of Charnwood Museums popular arts and crafts summer holiday activity programme. From Daleks to Pirates, Corn Dollies to Mask Making, T-shirt printing to a Teddy Bears Picnic, there are now so many different workshops taking place at Charnwood Museum over the summer that you could take part in a different workshop almost every day.

Art and craft workshop are aimed at children aged 3-12 and cost £2 per child. Places must be booked and paid for in advance. Children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Call Charnwood Museum on 01509 233754 to reserve your place.

Charnwood Museum is located in Queens Park in Loughborough. Opening hours are 10am to 4.30pm on Monday to Saturday and 2pm until 5pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Admission is Free.

Charnwood Museum is run as a partnership between Leicestershire County Council and Charnwood Borough Council.
