bullard allenFIRST they were banned for the Borough and now, just four days after being served with the injunction papers, Sabrina Bullard (aka KELLY) and Donna ALLEN have been given a four month jail sentence for breaching their Injunction

The pair were arrested on Sunday, 15 July 2007 by Leicestershire Police on Victoria Street in Loughborough and appeared at Leicester County Court the following day where Charnwood Borough Councils Housing department were successful in getting the pair a four month custodial sentence.

Both had been served with the Full Injunction on by Thursday, 12 July, which prohibited them from entering seven towns and villages across the Borough, including Loughborough.

The Judge who heard the case was the same who granted the original Order and said in Court: "This is not just a breach but a contempt of court and it is not accepted that you were visiting your Mother (Bullard) and if you (the pair) are found in breach again, you can be sure of the maximum sentence (2 years).

Clare Holford, Area Housing Manager, who has overseen the case throughout, said: "Bullard and Allen were served with the injunctions and within days were found in breach. This excellent result is thanks to a continued joint effort between Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire Police.

On release, Charnwood Borough Council will be taking direct action to ensure that residents in the affected areas are aware of the terms of the injunction. The exclusion area which prevents the pair from entering the seven areas across the Borough is in force until 6pm on 20 July, 2008. Conditions also prevent the pair from being in possession of any controlled drugs or engaging in dealing activities in any controlled drug within the whole County, including the Leicester City Centre, is in force until 6pm on 20 July, 2009.

Cllr David Slater (Conservative, Quorn and Mountsorrel Castle), Cabinet Lead for Housing, said: "These two are unsavoury characters and individuals who Charnwood does not need causing problems. By breaching their Injunctions they were openly disrespecting the Courts decision and it is a positive step that they are being punished for their actions.

Wendy Brown, from the Councils Community Safety Unit, added: "Charnwood Borough Councils Community Safety Unit takes their crime and disorder duties very seriously and will continue to promote positive and proactive multi-agency responses to issues that directly affect our neighbourhoods.

Karl Letten, Charnwood Borough Councils Change Programme Support Officer (Environment), said: "Achieving the ISO14001 standard is a demonstration of our commitment to improving our performance and minimising our impact upon the environment.

"Gaining the standard isnt the end of the story however. Each year, we will be visited by external auditors to ensure that we are continuing to achieve the high criterion demanded by the ISO14001 standard.
