fatal collision in Loughborough

Officers from Leicestershire Constabularys road policing unit are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Loughborough.
The incident happened at 8.55pm on Tuesday July 24, 2007 on Bakewell Road close to the junction with Sumerpool Road and involved a blue and white Suzuki GSXR motorbike, a silver Vauxhall Corsa SRI and a black Peugeot 206.
The rider of the Suzuki, a man believed to be in his late teens, died at the scene. Formal identification of the deceased is yet to take place.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
PC Richard Piskula who is investigating the collision said: "Weve already spoken to a number of witnesses who were at the scene and are in the process of taking statements. However, wed encourage anyone who saw this collision, who has not yet contacted the police, to please get in touch.
"If you have any information about this incident or saw any of the vehicles in the moments leading up to the collision then wed like to hear from you."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1144 Richard Piskula from the RPU on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for an officer and when prompted key in his identification number 1144. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers free* and anonymously on 0800 555 111.
