Loughborough Police Beat Surgeries
Posted on 26/07/2007
P. Klein
People living, working and studying in the Loughborough area are being given more chances to meet their neighbourhood officers and raise any policing concerns they may have.
A series of beat surgeries are being held throughout July and August at various locations in Loughborough including supermarkets, community centres, churches and youth clubs to ensure that as many residents as possible can have their say on policing in the area.
Inspector Mark Cuddihy, commander of Loughborough local policing unit, said: "This is a great opportunity for members of the community to not only meet and chat with their neighbourhood officers, but to also discuss with them any policing concerns they may have.
"We want residents to tell us what issues matter to them most so that we can use this information to draw up future policing priorities for the area. We hope the variety of locations will ensure we can meet with as many residents as possible."
Beat surgeries will be held on the following dates:
Wednesday July 25 - Fearon Hall Community Centre, Rectory Road, Loughborough, 5pm - 7pm.
Thursday July 26 - Knightthorpe Road Methodist Church coffee morning, 10am - 12noon.
