mountain bikeOfficers at Loughborough local policing unit are appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old boy was robbed in Loughborough.               

The incident took place between 11am and 11.30am on Friday July 13 in Ling Road, Loughborough, the victim was on his bike outside a convenience store when he was approached by a youth who asked him for a ride on his bike, when the victim refused the youth pulled him from the bike and rode off on it.

The victim received grazes during the incident but did not require medical treatment.  The offender made off on a black and white Stealth Bomber mens mountain bike.

The offender was white, aged between 14-16 and at the time of the incident was wearing a hooded top.

Officers investigating the incident are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw someone riding away from the Ling Road area on a bike similar to the one stolen to contact them.  They are also appealing to anyone who has been approached by someone or knows someone who has recently acquired a similar bike to contact them.
