police carShoppers in Loughborough this coming Thursday between 10am and 2pm will be able to meet the Police who are there to give advice on crime prevention and also to listen to any concerns you may have.

This is the second time the Police in Loughborough have been in Market Place on market day and it is the brainwave of the town centre Sergeant, Sergeant Stone.

Sergeant Stone said that the last time the beat bus was in Loughborough it was a great success and it enabled the Police in Loughborough to talk to hundreds of local people by providing an easily accessible point for people to come to. He also said that it was a reassuring presence for people who live and work in Loughborough.

Together with the opportunity to talk to officers there will be a selection of leaflets available on various issues such as general crime prevention, cycle safety and domestic violence. If you want to go high tec and mark your property there will also be Smartwater, which can be used to uniquely identify your property.
