You dont need to be Inspector Cluso , or Sherlock Homes, however the local Police could do with your assistance in solving two crimes in the Loughborough area.

The first crime where assistance is required is the theft of various items of fishing equipment such as rods, reels, alarms, nets which were all in a green carryall. The carryall was in an outbuilding on Canal Bank and it occurred sometime between 09:00 on 19/8/07 and 25/8/07. The officer dealing with this crime is PC Malc Wilton and if you saw anything suspicious between those two dates then you are asked to contact him. Alternatively you may have been offered some second hand fishing equipment, again you can contact PC Wilton. Remember there is no such thing as a victimless crime.

The second crime involves an indecent assault be someone of a dark European appearance on a 17 year old girl The girl was waiting for a friend in an alleyway which runs near Jasmine House on Nottingham Road. It occurred at 2pm on 26/8/07 (a Sunday). The man who is believed to be in his 20s and about 56 and 58 tall approached the girl and asked for a light for his cigarette. However he then indecently assaulted her. He had short dark hair, wore a grey short sleeved shirt and jeans. He possibly had a moustache. If you know anything about this, maybe you were in the area or you know of someone who matches the description, then contact PC Julia Newton at Loughborough Police Station and ask for PC 4281.
