Do you want to discover your families past? Not quite sure how to go about it or where to look? If you want to be a budding family historian and start collecting biographical information about your ancestors then Leicestershire Libraries just might have what you are looking for and tell you how to go about finding it.

Tracing your families ancestry can be fun and very rewarding and has become a popular pass time after television programmes have created a large interest and encouraged people to get their hands dusty, get their magnifying glasses out and search for clues that will create that family tree.

With this is mind there will be a 3 hour session at Loughborough Library in Granby Street on Monday 12th November 2007 which is free and aimed at complete beginners who want to trace their family roots. It doesnt matter if your family isnt from around the area, the information that you will get at the session will give you enough to get going. Information covered will be useful websites and library resources.

These events only occur twice a year and tend to be very popular and people leave with confidence and the motivation to start their family history.

If you want to attend advance booking really is recommended and you can phone the Library on 01509 212985
