Loughborough Stabbing

Normally peaceful and quiet Loughborough was shocked on Wednesday evening as and a man is now in a critical condition at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham after being stabbed during an attack at his flat in Ashby Square, Loughborough.
The attack occurred at about 6pm on Wednesday (12th September 2007) on the flat above the news agents Ashby Square News. As residents of Loughborough will be aware there is a bus stop immediately in front of the newsagents and it was a passenger on the top deck of a bus that had stopped at the bus stop who witnessed the event and called the police.
Loughborough Police have arrested a 36 year old suspect on the suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Meanwhile the victim is at the critical care unit suffering from serious injuries to his head and chest.
Loughborough Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the events, saw anything suspicious or know of anything related to the attack.
