Fatal Loughborough Road Accident

giant snailThere has been a fatal accident on the A6 on the Leicester bound carriage way of Loughborough Road near the "One Ash traffic island.

If you witnessed anything regarding the accident in the early hours of Sunday morning (16/9/07), police would like to hear from you.

You may have been making your way to Leicester or perhaps on the other carriageway heading towards Loughborough. However insignificant the information that you may have it will help build up a fuller picture of the events that caused the collision which resulted in the death of Mr Dane Paul Halford who was twenty years old and lived in Queniborough.

The accident which involved a White Fiat Scudo van, a red Ford Mondeo, a Renault Master minibus and two pedestrians occurred at about 01:00 where one of the pedestrians received fatal injuries. One of the drivers, a forty nine year old man was arrested after the incident and has now been released on bail pending further enquiries by the police.
