performer in loughboroughThere may be tears, there could be tantrums, they could be terrible, they could be terrific, whatever happens its certainly going to be a day to remember at the Town Hall this coming Sunday as THE best talent contest Loughborough has ever seen comes to town.

Charnwood Borough Council together with Loughborough Town Centre Partnership are organising the event, which will enable people who live or work in the town to demonstrate their stage skills, be it singing, dancing, telling jokes, musical skills or other talent. Who knows it may launch some lucky people into stardom.

The auditions will start at 9am on Sunday (is there a 9am on a Sunday?), however it is anticipated that there are going to be big queues on the day and if you are really interested you should get there early.

In order that the judges arent still there reviewing performers into January, only the first 100 performers will be invited in to wait in the Green Room (Victoria Rooms), they will be called throughout the day and the best 25 acts will be asked to return on the 20th October 2007 for a second audition.

The best will then be asked to perform at events across the Borough during the Christmas period. The best three will perform in front of an anticipated crowd of 8,000 when the Christmas Lights are turning on ceremony is held on the last Sunday of November.
