We reported last month of a competition that was being run for people to photograph the best and the worst that Charnwood has to offer.
The competition was due to close on the 1st October 2007, however due to the large number of requests that were made for the information packs that contained a disposable camera the deadline has now been extended to the 15th October 2007.
Cllr Richard Shepherd, the Leader of Charnwood Borough Council and Conservative Councillor for Quorn & Mountsorrel Castle said: "If a picture paints a thousand words, Picture Your Neighbourhood is you opportunity to show what it means to live in your neighbourhood " the highlights, the lowlights and the best things.
The number of things that you can photograph is endless. What is important is that they are pictures of our neighborhood. So have a think, if you havent already got one of the information packs visit the councils website and get out there quickly " you have about 10 days left to get the photographs taken and done.
The first prize is £150 of camera equipment so it could well be worth your while....
