Encounters of the first kind

Unidentified Flying ObjectReports have been coming in from various parts of Loughborough this week over strange lights seen over Loughborough last weekend.

One resident, from Pevensey Road, told inLoughborough that he saw the lights in the sky on both Friday and Saturday night. It appeared to be about the size of a house and was seen spinning round. The event was also witnessed by his wife and a neighbour.

Another resident from Loughborough reported seeing a similar thing that evening.

Robert Rosamond, chairman of the British UFO Research Association (Bufora) said that around 98 per cent of sightings can be explained, such as optical illusions or weather balloons. However that leaves 2% which truly are Unidentified Flying Objects.

The MoD however does not investigate (allegedly) each and every report, only those where it could be an object that poses a threat to Britain.
