Police are appealing for witnesses after a high value burglary at a property in Shepshed where over £80,000 of property has been stolen between 8.30am and 4pm on Tuesday, October 2 in Church Street.
The 31-year-old victim returned home to find cash and jewellery had been taken from the premises.
The stolen items include:
- A Zenith Rosegold Moon mans watch with a glass backing and a brown crocodile strap, valued at around £43,000
- A gold ladies charm bracelet with different coloured miniature handbag charms, valued at around £8,000.
- A mans Rolex Pearl submariner watch valued at around £5,000
- A Claude Valentini series 3000 blue platinum watch valued at around £9,300
- A Bertolucci 22 carat gold watch with a brown leather strap valued at around £22,000
Police Constable Phil Martindale from Shepshed local policing unit said: "The victims husband is a watch collector and a huge proportion of this has been taken. He has been left extremely shaken and upset by his loss.
"However, the fact that these items are so rare could be our key to recovering them. I would urge anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of the stolen items to get in touch as soon as possible.
"I would also encourage anyone working within the jewellery business to be on the lookout for anyone selling watches matching these descriptions. If you have any suspicions at all please get in touch with us.
"I am also keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area last Tuesday to get in touch."
