Police in Loughborough are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted.
The incident happened at 21:00 on Sunday, September 23 outside the Paget Arms pub, off Oxford Street in Loughborough.
The victim, a 26 year old was approached by a group of men who shouted abuse at him. He was then punched and kicked by one of the group.
The victim received an injury to his leg and required hospital treatment.
At 21:20 the victim was near the TSB bank, in Devonshire Square, Loughborough, when he saw the suspect again. The suspect chased him towards McDonalds in Market Place.
The suspect is described as white, about 1.83m (6ft) tall, well built with short hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a grey shirt.
After the assault the victim spoke to a taxi driver asking that they could help him. If you were that taxi driver then the police are encouraging you to come forward as you may have valuable information as to what occurred.
Police Constable Dave Bliss from Loughborough local policing unit said: "This attack has left the victim shaken. We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident. Did you see the assault outside the pub? Did you see the victim being chased in Loughborough town centre a short while later? If so I want to speak to you.
