Rotary Club Santa Fun Run
Posted on 14/10/07
P. Klein
Well this is the first time we have mentioned it this year but Christmas will soon be upon us.
In 2005 the Rotary Club in Loughborough organised the first Loughborough Santa Fun Run to benefit local charities. They repeated it last year and now it seems to have become part of the calendar as they are now in the process of organising this years event.
In 2005 one of our reporters ran in the first Santa Fun Run event, which starts at the athletics track at Loughborough University and makes its way into town and back. Even our photographer was even there at the event to catch some of the action. The course is just under 4 miles and should be easily accomplished by most people. So no matter if you intend to win the race, jog along or walk it why not give it a go.
If you want to participate in this years event which will be on the 9th December 2007 and help raise some money for local good causes and local charities then give David Hollins of the rotary club a ring on 0116 229 0495.
