cricket ballIts not many people who have the advantage of the English Cricket Boards National High Performance Cricket Centre on their doorstep and have the chance to train where international cricketers have practiced their skills.

Starting on the 11th November 2007 youngsters between the ages of 8 and 16 will be able to hone their cricket skills at a series of clinics run by ECB qualified coaches at Loughborough University. The clinics are between 5pm and 7pm and run for 6 weeks.

The course aims to cater for all levels of skill and ability. They will allow the participants to learn the fundamentals or improve their existing skill level, be it fielding techniques or batting or bowling. There are no guarantees that your youngster will be the subject of the next selection committee discussions on who to choose for the next Ashes, however it might improve their game and they will get more out of the sport.

The course will cost 60 for all six sessions. Anyone wanting further info or wishing to book a place should contact Sports Reception on 01509 226250.
