Loughborough Firework Display
Posted on 03/11/07
P. Klein
What has to be one of the best firework displays in the county is being held at Loughborough University tonight.
The gates for the Loughborough Students Rag Annual Bonfire and Fireworks will be opened at 5pm this evening (Saturday 3rd November 2007) and the events will be occurring on the Towers rugby pitch. Typically the event attracts about 10,000 people every year.
The evenings events will kick off for the younger children at 6pm with the main bonfire being lit at 7pm. If you dont want to miss the main firework display then you certainly need to be there before 7:30pm. inLoughborough have also been informed that there will be various catering points and fairground rides to keep you amused.
You might also want to allow extra time for your journey if you are planning to pass Epinal Way around the time of the Bonfire as there is going to be a lot of extra traffic and people looking skywards.
Money raised from the entrance fees (4 adults/students, 1 children) goes to Loughborough Students RAG which last year raised over 690,000 for charity.
