14th November 2007
As part of the new RADAR arts programme, Loughborough University presents a live performance and installation by Juneau Projects and Ben Neal at the Music Centre on Campus tomorrow (Thursday 15th November 2007) between 12 and 4pm. There will also be exhibited an interactive installation between Saturday 17th November and Thursday 22nd November 2007, again between 12 and 4pm each day.
Sewn to the sky is a rock and roll computer game controlled by playing the guitar, bass and drums. Juneau Projects will conduct a live performance that is seamlessly integrated with an interactive visual animation. The musicians play customized instruments (guitar, bass and drums) that interface with the animated images of the game created with programmer Ben Neal. The performance will conclude with the opportunity for the audience to play the instruments and try out the customized gaming gear. There will be further opportunity to interact with the work, and play the game, for a week following the performance.
Juneau Projects have presented work at Showroom, Ikon, fa projects and Grizedale Arts and were part of The British Art Show 2006. The research and development of this project was supported by Vivid, Birmingham and was commissioned by Media Art Bath. Guitars designed with assistance from Userlab, Birmingham.
