Police are asking for help identifying two youths following a disturbed burglary on Dunsmore Close in Loughborough.

The incident happened at around 10.50pm on Friday November 16 when the occupant of the house returned home to find a youth standing at the bottom of his driveway.

The occupant questioned the youth as to why he was on his driveway and then noticed a second youth. The pair then ran off towards Brook Lane and Nanpanton Road.

The victim ran after them and saw them get onto bikes that were leaning against the Dunsmore Close road sign at the entrance to the estate.

When the victim returned to the house he discovered that his back door was wide open. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

The first youth is described as white, 16 to 18-years-old, around 510" tall and of slim build. He was wearing dark trousers and a beige hooded top with the hood up.

The second youth was also white and in his late teens but of slighly smaller build. He was wearing dark clothing.

The bikes that they used to make their escape are described as mountain bikes, one was black with red writing and the other was blue.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw these youths in the area or knows the route they took after they left Dunsmore Close. They are also keen to speak to anyone who thinks they might recognise the descriptions.

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was assaulted in a wooded area close to Cumbrian Way in Shepshed.

The incident happened at around 11.15am on Wednesday November 14 when the victim and a friend were walking along the path that leads through the wooded area.

They were followed by two youths, one of whom was holding a bike. The youth with the bike started walking close to the victim and his friend so that the wheel of the bike was rubbing up along the back of the victims leg.

Feeling slightly threatened by this the victim and his friend stopped and headed back along the path in the direction of the schools. As they passed the two youths the boy with the pushbike asked the victim if he had a cigarette. When he said no the second youth punched the victim in the face.

The youth with the bike is described as being white, aged around 19-years-old, 510" to 6 tall and of slim build. He was wearing a dark grey beanie hat, dark grey hooded top and matching tracksuit trousers which were tucked in his socks. He was pushing a black or silver mountain bike.

The youth who assaulted the victim is also described as being white and of a similar aged and height but stockier build. He was wearing a dark blue coat and black tracksuit bottoms.

PC Phil Martindale who is investigating the incident said: "Fortunately the victim was not badly injured but this is obviously a concerning incident.

"Weve been working closely with the schools in the area and have urged youngsters to say clear of isolated areas and to walk in groups whenever possible.

"Im keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or saw the two youths on the day in question. If you have an information regarding the incident or the identity of the suspects please get in touch."
