New Horizons
Posted on 30/01/2008
P. Klein

A new exhibition opens at Charnwood Museum on Friday 1st February. Local creative textile group Cinnabar have explored their theme of Wide Horizons by producing an exhibition of textile art based on places the artists have visited.
Whether inspiration comes from Northumberland, East Africa or Ecuador - each member has produced varied, exciting work incorporating vibrant colours and textures. Individual style is expressed through fabric, surface decoration, felting, hand and machine stitch.
Cinnabar members will be giving demonstrations of their embroidery skills at Charnwood Museum every Thursday in February. Call Charnwood Museum on 01509 233754 for further details of each week’s demonstration.
Wide Horizons can be seen at Charnwood Museum from Friday 1st February to Sunday 9th March. Charnwood Museum is in Queens Park in the centre of Loughborough and is open from 10.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Saturday and 1pm-4pm on Sundays. The exhibition is free.
Charnwood Museum is run as a partnership between Leicestershire County Council and Charnwood Borough Council.
