Loughborough Police are appealing for public help after archery equipment was stolen from a property in Loughborough.
A number of crossbows and arrows were stolen from the premises on Leicester Road, Loughborough, sometime between 11:30pm on Wednesday March 5 and 1.30am on Thursday March 6.
Following the theft officers have been called to three reports of damage in the Shelthorpe area of Loughborough between 5pm on Thursday March 6 and 10am Friday March 7. One arrow was found embedded in a fence and a number have been found on the ground outside the addresses.
Police have already recovered a large amount of the stolen items but they still believe there is around 18 crossbows and a large number of arrows still missing from the property.
Three youths aged 13, 14 and 15 were arrested between 5pm and 11pm last night (Thursday March 6) in connection with the burglary and criminal damage and are currently being questioned by police.
Insp Mark Cuddihy, commander of Loughborough local policing unit, said: "The archery equipment stolen during the incident can be very dangerous in the wrong hands and I would ask that anyone who finds them or has them in their possession to contact police immediately.
"I would like to reassure the public that we are treating this incident very seriously and are carrying out an extensive investigation.
"I would also like anyone with any information about this incident or the stolen property to contact the police station."
