Loughborough MP calls for views on crime
Posted on 10/03/08
P. Klein

Local MP Andy Reed today backed the Home Secretarys crime Have Your Say surveys. The surveys aimed at getting peoples opinion on crime, community cohesion and to share their ideas on tackling crime in their communities.
Have Your Say panels are happening across the country and you can take part in the survey at www.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/survey. These are an opportunity to inform the government of your concerns relating to crime and ways the police and government can better work to bring about change in your area.
This cross-government exercise looking at how the police and other front-line organisations can improve their services by working with local communities involving local people. This Review looks at the ways communities and crime-fighting agencies can work together to tackle crime even more effectively and reduce fear of crime.
Andy says
The people who know most about an area are the people who live there, this review is asking for people to give their opinion about their local area and I fully encourage people to do that.
I believe we need to involve local people more and I encourage people to fill out the surveys and respond to this review so we can get it right in Loughborough.
