The Murder of Lila Robertson

A man from Loughborough at appearance at the Crown Court in Birmingham and changed his plea to guilty.

He had previously denied the charges at Leicester Crown Court in October 2007 of murdering his baby daughter in November 2006.

Wayne Robertson, 29, who lived in Russell Street, had denied the charges of causing or allowing the death of the infant and two counts of child cruelty.

His daughter, Lila Robertson, died aged 10 weeks on Tuesday 14th November 2006 after being admitted to Leicester Royal Infirmary with a brain injury on the previous Sunday.

The Judge, Julia Macur, told Robertson that he should expect imprisonment when he is sentenced later.
