Police investigating an attempted robbery in Loughborough are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
At about 3.50am on Saturday February 23, 2008 a man in his 20s was walking through the town towards the Derby Road area. As he passed the Kwik Fit premises in The Rushes Looughborough, he was approached by three men who pushed him against a wall and demanded that he hand over the pizza he was carrying. The men also tried to forcibly remove the victims shoulder bag which contained expensive audio equipment.
The victim managed to break free of the group and they left the area empty handed. The victim was not injured but has been left feeling scared and angry.
The first suspect is described as white, aged between 18 and 20, about 510" tall of stocky build. He had stubble and dark hair. He was wearing a white shirt with a black coloured logo.
The second suspect is white, aged about 18, approximately 58"tall and of slim build. He has blond cropped hair and was wearing a black padded jacket with a hood.
The third suspect is described as a white man.
PC Nick Reeve who is investigating the incident said: "If you were in the Rushes area of Loughborough and witnessed the incident we need to hear from you. Thankfully the victim was not injured but understandably he has been left feeling frightened and angry by the incident."
