Loughborough Robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Loughborough.

The incident happened in Empress Road, Loughborough at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, April 15.

Two men entered the store demanded money and threatened the 59-year-old victim with a knife.

Chocolate, worth an estimated £2 was stolen in the incident.

The suspects made off down Empress Road and turned right towards the canal bridge in Robert Hardy Wharf.

The suspects are both described as Asian, between 18 and 22-years-old between 52" and 54" tall and wearing hooded black tops and white trainers.

Detective Constable Stuart Frobisher from Loughborough CIDsaid: "Fortunately no-one was injured in the incident but it has left the victim shaken.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who has not yet come forward and spoken to us.

"We also want to hear from people who saw the suspects making off from the scene. Did you see them running down Empress Road? If so we want to hear from you."
