Appeal to trace owners of vehicle badges stolen from Ashby
Posted on 29/04/2008

Officers from Charnwood local policing unit are appealing for the owners of stolen vehicle badges to contact them.
In the last couple of weeks a number of unattended vehicles have had their badges stolen in the Ashby area.
On April 23 two 17-year-old youths and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles and following a search at their home address a number of vehicle badges were found.
The three arrested people have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Some of the badges have been reunited with the owners but there are still a number of badges whose owners need to be identified.
PC Mark Arjoo is investigating the incidents, he said: "A variety of badges have been recovered including BMW, Mazda and Mini Cooper. If anyone has had their vehicle badge stolen recently and has not reported the incident to the police I would urge them to come forward so we can reunite them with their property."
Anyone who believes that they may have been a victim is asked to contact PC 1667 Arjoo on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1667.
