Witness appeal following burglary in Loughborough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a house in Lorrimer Way, Loughborough.
Officers were called to the address at around 7am this morning by the ambulance service, who had received a call from an 84-year-old woman asking for assistance.
On arrival at the address it appeared the property had been searched.
The victim was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment for injuries to her legs, arms and back. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
It is not known at this stage if anything was taken in the incident.
Detective Inspector Simon Hurst from Loughborough CID said: "Investigations into this incident are in there very early stages and we are trying to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
"We would like to appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area between 5pm on Thursday afternoon and 7am this morning. Any information could help us with our enquiries."
