Get Weaving in Loughborough
Posted on 31/05/2008
T. Robson

Charnwood Arts would like you to “get weaving” at their latest Create Too workshop.
Loughborough’s Charnwood Museum will be hosting a basket weaving workshop led by artist Clare Bull on Tuesday June 10th. The workshop runs from 10.15am to 2.45pm and places can be booked now on 01509-233754.
Clare will be teaching how to weave your own “Stake and Strand” containers using 100% recycled materials. All materials will be provided but you can also bring along any plastic parcel strapping or plastic bags that you have saved to incorporate in your work.
Clare is a very experienced artist who trained in France with the renowned weaver Lois Walpole. She has also been artist in residence at Leicester’s Eco House.
The cost for the workshop is £17.50 per person for the with concessions for those on means tested benefits. There will be a short lunchbreak in the day so don’t forget those sandwiches.
Clare’s Basket Weaving workshop will be held at the Charnwood Museum, Granby Street, Loughborough on Tuesday June 10th between 10.15am and 2.45pm. To book a place, just ring 01509-233754.
