Loughborough University is seeking women aged 65 to 85 to take part in a brand new strength training study.

Researchers in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences (SSES) are investigating responses to strength training in older women and are looking for healthy volunteers who are interested in finding out how to get stronger.

Testing is focussed on the lower part of the leg and involves resistance training, at a comfortable intensity, on several visits to the University campus.

Volunteers can expect to see an improvement in leg strength which may also improve their functional performance.

Anyone interested in taking part in this exciting study should contact Mr Stephen Patterson ons.d.patterson@lboro.ac.uk <mailto:s.d.patterson@lboro.ac.uk%20> / 01509 226376 or Dr Richard Ferguson onr.ferguson@lboro.ac.uk/ 01509 226333.
