Following the success of Charlie Chuck a couple of weeks ago, Loughboroughs newest comedy club - Swan In The Egg - is back on Tuesday June 24th at the Swan in the Rushes.

Headliner for the night is Jim Smallman, who has been called "a laconic, sarcastic gag machine -  certainly a comedian to keep an eye on".

Jim has been bringing his own brand of oddball observations and paranoid illness to stages all over the UK since 2005.

His act touches on his odd life, his obsession for knowledge and his downright childish silliness.

He was a finalist in the Equity Comedian of the Year competition last year - an event which seems to have helped his self esteem somewhat, but possibly not his bizarre outlook on life....

Barnaby J. Thompson has been performing his poetry in his native Latvia since the age of 5 and was lauded as a possible messiah....

When he came to England he translated his work and performances accordingly but instead of the mass hysteria and trance states he was used to inducing in audiences all he got was laughter and mocking derision.

It has been his mission ever since to break down these childish psychological defences that British audiences put up to resist him penetrating their psyche...

The line-up is completed by the musings of maths teacher Dan Maxim and film buff Simon Gunnell, all brought to you by wayward limbed compere James Hately.

Swan In The Egg hits the stage on Tuesday June 24th at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. The show starts at 8.30pm.
