Loughborough MP Andy Reed has secured a 30 Minute Adjournment debate in the House of Commons to discuss the future of Loughborough Railway Station. The debate will look at the plans for improving the station and call on the government to ensure that the plans for the redevelopment of the station are acted upon.

The Loughborough MP said:

"I have taken a keen interest in developing the station and the surrounding area for over a decade. I am now however worried that some of the redevelopment and planned improvements are slipping even further.

I hope to use the debate to focus attention on the station and why it is of such importance to the town and the future growth of passenger numbers."

"I will be raising the eastern gateway regeneration delays, the platform lengthening, disabled access via the Access for All grant and station improvement now we are part of east Midlands Trains"
