daleks!

Contrary to popular belief The Doctor failed to exterminate all the Daleks. Some have been spotted at Charnwood Museum!

The Daleks’ new plan to conquer the Earth is due to begin on Tuesday 15 July. The Dalek Master has enticed the Keeper of Charnwood Museum to hold a Dalek making workshop at the museum to resurrect the species. Local youngsters will be recruited to design the new Dalek race and take their creations home to terrify their families. Many youngsters have already signed up but there is room for more recruits.

A Museum Spokeswoman said “This has happened before; Charnwood Museum seems to be a favourite breeding ground for Daleks. Last year nearly 400 local people joined the ranks of Dalek makers. The Dalek Master has asked for even more to join him this year. We seem to be under his control. Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate…“

The “Dr Who & the Daleks” workshops will be taking place on Tuesday 15 July from 10.15am to11.15am, 11.45am to12.45pm, 1.30pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 4pm. Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Workshop places cost £2 per child and are suitable for children aged 3 and above. Children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Please contact Charnwood Museum on 01509 233754 or call into the museum in Queens Park, Loughborough to book your place. Opening hours are 10am to 4.30pm on Monday to Saturday and 2pm until 5pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
