Daleks head back to Loughboroughs Charnwood Museum
Posted on 18/07/2008
Daleks are proving so popular at Charnwood Museum that extra Dalek-making workshops are being held.
As soon as tickets went on sale for this week’s Dr Who and the Daleks sessions, they sold out.
The workshop offers youngsters an opportunity to make their own Dalek to take home and terrify their family.
An extra day of workshops has been planned for Friday, July 25. Dr Who fans are invited to book fast.
The workshops form part of Charnwood Museum’s popular arts and crafts summer holiday activity programme. From Daleks to pirates, fossils to Egyptian art, seaside stencils to Olympic medal making, there is something to suit everyone at Charnwood Museum.
Art and craft workshop are suitable for children aged from three to 12 years old and cost £2 per child. Places must be booked and paid for in advance. Children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Call Charnwood Museum on Loughborough (01509) 233754 to reserve a place.
Charnwood Museum is located in Queens Park in Loughborough. Opening hours are 10am to 4.30pm on Monday to Saturday and 2pm until 5pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Admission is Free.
Charnwood Museum is run as a partnership between Leicestershire County Council and Charnwood Borough Council.
