Man assaulted in Loughborough
Posted on 28/05/2008

Officers in Loughborough are appealing for witnesses after a 25-year-old man was robbed.
The incident happened between 9.15pm and 9.30pm on Friday May 16, 2008 when the victim was riding along Blackwood Road when he was approached by two youths.
They demanded his mobile phone and cash and when he refused, he was assaulted by both of them.
The victim attended Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment to minor injuries.
Both his attackers are described as white and between 16 and 18-years-old. He is around 5'7" tall and had short blond wavy hair and a pointed face. He was wearing a long sleeved top and jeans.
The other is described as around 5'9" tall and had short blond hair. He was wearing a green hooded top and jeans.
Detective Constable Kim Potter, who is investigating this incident, said: "This man has naturally been left very shaken by this incident.
"We're appealing for anyone who was in the Blackbrook Road area of Loughborough in the evening of Friday May 16, to think back and see if they recall anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps you saw these attackers hanging around in the area before the attack.
"Or do you recall seeing two men matching these descriptions running from the scene, perhaps you know the route they took? If so we'd be keen to hear from you."
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact PC 4269 Kim Potter at Loughborough CID on 0116 2222222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 4269. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
