Man assaulted in Loughborough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Loughborough.

The incident happened at around 5.30am on Thursday, June 19 on a footpath which connects Humphrey Close and Burton Walk.

The 22-year-old victim was approached by a group of three men who hit him on the head with an object.

He received head injuries which required hospital treatment.

The first suspect is described of being dual heritage appearance, around 6' tall, stocky build, round face with short black hair and between 22 and 24-years-old. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a small FCUK logo on the chest, blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as white, around 6' tall, between 20 and 22-years-old skinny build with long curly fair hair. He was wearing a grey baseball cap with a small black logo on the front, a grey zip up hooded top and blue jeans.

The third suspect is described as white, shorter than the other suspects and was wearing a black shiny coat with the hood up and black tracksuit bottoms

PC David Bliss, from Loughborough local policing unit said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw a group of men matching this description. If you saw anything suspicious in the area then please get in touch."
