Burglary at a house in Loughborough

Loughborough officers are appealing for information regarding a burglary at a home on Outwoods Road. 

The incident happened sometime between 9.30am and 11.25am on Friday June 20, 2008 when thieves entered the property stealing a quantity of Krugerrands and dollars and a quantity of gold jewellery including bangles, a bracelet and a chain.

A witness recalls seeing a man run from the property at around 10.15am and get into the passenger seat of a silver Ford Focus which drove off towards Valley Road.

He is described as black, in his twenties, around 5'8" tall and had a shaven head. He was wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans or trousers. The driver is also described as a black man.

Detective Constable Phil Lilley, who is investigating the incident, said: "We're appealing for anyone who may have any information about the burglary or remembers any suspicious activity in the area between these times to get in touch.

"If you saw a vehicle matching this description in the area or saw the route the vehicle took, please get on touch.

"Similarly if you are approached by someone selling items matching these descriptions in suspicious circumstances, please contact us."
