Witnesses to copper theft needed

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary on Sparrow Hill, Loughborough.
The incident occurred between 10am on Friday, August 29 and 6pm on Saturday, September 6 when entry was gained to the property and copper piping was stolen.
The lead surroundings to the windows were also stolen.
PC Phil Ariss, who is investigating this incident said: "We are appealing for anybody who might have witnessed this incident. In particular we would like to talk to anybody who saw anything suspicious in the late evening of Friday, September 5 or the early morning of Saturday, September 6.
"Also, have you been offered or know of anybody who has been offered any copper piping or lead in suspicious circumstances? Do you work in the scrap metal industry? Have you been offered goods like this for sale? If so please contact me as soon as possible."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 2874 Phil Arriss on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 2874.
