Woman robbed in Loughborough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed in Loughborough.
The incident happened in Shakespeare Street, at around 1.10am on Saturday, September 20.
The 19-year-old victim was approached by a man who stole her handbag, containing cash, cards and a mobile phone. She received injuries to her head which required hospital treatment.
The suspect is described as black, around 5'8"tall and wearing a grey hooded top.
Detective Constable Jason Fell, who is investigating the incident said: "We know the victim was walking from the Biggin Street area of the town and it is possible that she was being followed by the suspect.
"We are appealing to anyone who was in Loughborough town centre on Saturday night and saw anything suspicious to come forward. Did you see a man matching this description? Any information could help us with our enquiries."
