Assault on Derby Road, Loughborough

Police are appealing for any possible witnesses to an assault on Derby Road, Loughborough.

The incident happened at 3.55am on Saturday September 20 when the victim, 23 was approached by six men who spoke with Eastern European accents.

The group then punched him in the face which caused minor facial injuries that were treated at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

One of the suspects was, white, of slim build and around 5' 7" tall, he was wearing a sliver chain, a blue t-shirt with white and yellow lettering on the front and jeans. Another suspect was around 6" tall, of large build and had a shaven head. He was wearing black jeans, a shiny jacket and glasses. The victim is unsure of the description of any other suspects/

PC Phil Rudkin, who has been investigating this incident said: "I am looking for any possible witness who may have seen the incident.

"Did you see a group of men with people matching this description? Did you witness this incident taking place? If you have any information we urge you to contact the police as soon as possible to help with our enquiries."
