Rabbits stolen in Loughborough area

Police are appealing for witnesses following linked thefts in the Loughborough area.

The first incidents occurred between 7.30pm on Wednesday September 17 and 8.15am Thursday September 18.when rabbits and hutches were stolen from a back garden.

It is believed to have happened when a two year old brown rabbit was taken, along with its hutch and run from premises on Woodthorpe Avenue. 

The second incident took place between 10pm on Wednesday September 17 and 5am on Thursday September 18 when four rabbits and their hutches were stolen from a back garden Manor Drive.  There was also a silver men's Reebok bike stolen during this incident.

PCSO Lee Rockett, who is investigating these incidents said: "I am keen to speak with anybody who has any information on either of these incidents. 

"Did you see any suspicious activity at either address between these times?

"Do you work in a pet shop? Have you been offered any rabbits with hutches in suspicious circumstances?

"I would be interested in speaking to people who witnessed a white van on Manor Road, Loughborough at around 11.30pm on Wednesday September 17."
