Witness appeal after bag stolen in Hinckley

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary on Charnwood Road in Hinckley.

This incident happened between 8pm and 9.05pm on Thursday October 23 when a handbag was stolen after entry was gained to the back of the property.

Taken in this incident was a brown leather Taurus handbag worth £40, which contained, two apple Ipods a black fabric purse, £5 in cash and credit and debit cards.

PC Ryan Buckland who has been investigating this incident said: "This is a terrace property with an enclosed alleyway.   Cast your mind back, did you see anybody suspicious in the area?

"Maybe you have been offered some of these stolen items in suspicious circumstances?

"If so please contact the police as soon as possible."
