University hosts rugby and football camps for kids this Easter

Loughborough University is encouraging local youngsters to get active this Easter with week-long sports camps in football and rugby.

Designed for young players of a range of ages and abilities, both courses develop players skills and build their confidence in a fun and safe environment.

The five-day rugby camp is run by the Universitys qualified BOOST coaches, who organise sessions at schools across the county all year round. Players aged eight to 14 will take part in a variety of rugby drills and mini games during the week-long morning programme which takes place from 9am to 1pm from 31 March to 4 April and costs from just 32 per child.

The four-day football camp takes place from 25-28 March and sessions include a range of drills and games that enable players to improve whatever level they currently play at. Each day is themed with a different skill and coaching is tailored to the abilities of the players.

Separate sessions are run for under-eights and the eights and over; under-eights train from 10am to 12pm each day and players aged eight to 14 train from 10am to 5pm. Courses cost from 20 (under-eights) and 48 (eight-14 years).

Courses are run by fully qualified coaches who are all CRB approved and all equipment is provided.
