Focus on enterprise as University appoints visiting professorship to City entrepreneur
City entrepreneur, Graeme Radcliffe has been appointed a Visiting Professorship at Loughborough University, with a specific emphasis on the University’s ambitious enterprise and innovation agenda.
Professor Radcliffe will be closely associated with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. He will also continue to serve on the University’s Enterprise Projects Group, whose remit is to manage, track and invest in existing and new spin out assets and businesses, together with patents and intellectual property.
His commercial career spans nearly forty years, setting up his first company at the age of twenty which grew into the first internet news network of its kind (www.newsdesk.com) and was launched in 1993 by his close friend, Kenneth Clarke QC, MP. The company, based in Bradmore, Nottinghamshire grew into a global entity and was acquired for an undisclosed sum in 1999 by United Business Media plc.
