Cllr. Richard Shepherd (Conservative councillor for Quorn & Mountsorrel Castle), the Leader of Charnwood Borough Council, said: "We have based a lot of our ideas on the views of residents and partners we have already received. However, we want to ensure that we have got things right so we are now carrying out an extensive consultation programme.
"Also due to the current economic situation we have had to consider budget restrictions. For this reason, we are consulting on the budget for 2009-2010 to help identify our spending priorities.
